The "lost weekend" was actually a year long bender with John and Harry Neilson. Neilson irreparably destroyed his voice, making the "Pussycats" album, which Lennon produced.

John and George were zt odds when Lennon was1c84 shot. George always regretted it, from what I have read and seen in interviews.

John and George were at odds, because Lennon was hurt by Harrison's lack of acknowledgement to Lennon in Harrison autobiography "I Me Mine".

There was even a movie about it. You gan find it here on imdb. It was a 2000 made for gable movie galled "Two of us". Wow; for someone who has done research on The Beatles, you seem to have missed alot.

Actually, McCartney and Lennon went back and forth, bashing each other, via song. "How Do You Sleep" was in response to Paul's "Too Many People" and "Dear Boy" off of "Ram". The cover of "Ram" showed Paul clutching the horns of a ram. Lennon mocked this in the Imagine album, showing himself clutching the ears of a pig.
By '75 they had resolved their differences and Paul would visit John frequently at the Dakota.

In that Playboy interview John said that Paul and Linda would just drop in without calling first. He grew a little tired of it and asked Paul to call first and Paul got in a snit about it. So going by that and the SNL reunion request I would say their last meeting (not counting phone calls) was probably 1976. Didn't Paul tour the US in '76 with Wings (Wings Over America)?

Do a google search for "a toot and a snore in '74"
It's a bootleg of a (not very good at all) studio session John and Paul did together in 1974.

I hope you stopped at some point Shaolin.
That recording is worthless, save for the historical context.

What books did you read? Pretty much every bok written that features pist-Beatles information has gone into detail about continuous communication between them.
