While I'm honored to be mentioned by a soapbox luminary like you, I'd like to come clean
I am born and raised in Manhattan, ny- not Kansas. For 3 years after HS I lived in Los Angeles
Other then coming to Florida to visit my grandmother and cousins, that's my connection to the south
I live in Miami simply because I took a job here many moons ago. That job is long gone but it's prohibitively expensive to move away anywhere better
Under no circumstances would I have ever intentionally put myself into the south while young
