Not married? And no partner?

He was linked to Jennifer Aniston a few years back. Her dad is a member of a church near me, and they showed up together once. No cameras or anything. No one knew they were coming ahead of time, so it seems like they were really "together".

I think this actor lived with a couple of his girlfriends on and off, there was a model a few years back. I believe he likes women. But Gerry doesn't seem worried about people thinking he does or doesn't. He's going to hang out with his blokes no matter.
I have a 50 year old brother who isn't married and doesn't plan to. He feels he would just get divorced in a couple years; and his married guy friends tell him the only reason to be married is to have kids.
So I don't find it odd that Gerry at 50 is not settled. Everyone assumes Gerry has so many choices, but as far as someone "genuine" who's there without the movie star bit, or the money, etc. That has to be a tough call. He might just hold course, unless he goes "Clooney" and shocks everyone by meeting a match he can't pass up. -

My correction - Gerry listed at 47 not 50.
They often shave off a couple years from an actor's age, esp. if he gets a late start, changing careers as he did from law, and he's from out of country, this helps with casting here in roles. I read a quote from a school mate in Scotland that he's a couple years older than listed.
His haters don't realize he passes for younger and they really pick at his looks which vary if he's camera ready or not. Overall, he's in good shape. -

lucaskidi
welcome back
hope you are well
I don't understand why people think it odd he's not married or with a significant other- my grandma would have said he's either not the marrying kind or he'll marry at 50plus to a girl in her early 20's and have a bunch of kids!
sometimes I think his Mike Chadway character is him. Maybe he loved someone once and it was never recipocated, leaving him feeling he's only "bleepable"- I don't know

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that it's odd he's not married. Not everyone is the marrying kind but I was just curious if he was at least in a serious relationship given his age, but like someone else said he is pretty hot still so maybe settling down is not yet his thing (or ever) or it's just hard for him to find someone genuine.

Remember Warren Beaty?
Warren Beatty was a real life womanizer who finally met his mate.
Gerard Butler is a gossip column womanizer who sends mixed messages about his sexuality and his relationships.
Not buying the comparison. -

It's the one thing I admire about him. At least he's not marrying young things willy-nilly and getting divorced every few years.
I'm 42, soon to be 43, and I'm not married, never have been, and will be fine if I never do marry. And I'm definitely not gay, though people have actually suspected and even asked if I am. Nope. I think men are very attractivethey're just a lot of trouble too, LOL.
I'm not at all opposed to the idea of marriage though. In fact, I would love someone to share my retirement years with. I retire in 15 years, so that gives me some time to find him!
Gerry's smart about this, IMO. Now his movies? That's another story! LOL
Merry Christmas to everyone here! Hope Santa is good to you! -

Could be he's just not through playing around yet, which is predictable because he IS kind of a hunk. lol Nevertheless, I'm 2 years away from being 30 and I've never been married, nor do I have any kids. I'd like to be someday, thoughbe even better if it were Gerry.

You have plenty of time. I married and had kids in my 30's. Although, I married a man of the same age. Are you thinking you have a lot of common interests with a much older man like GB? He doesn't seem eager or able to have kids, for example.
