What a pity, the video doesn't exist anymore…apparently.

I wonder why he was shot. Apparently it was justified homicide but I have grave doubts.

                Summertime - Sam Cooke
                [video]
                I share your doubts.
                Especially after I've read this:
According to restaurant employees and friends, Cooke was carrying a large amount of money at Martoni's. A search of Boyer's purse by police revealed nothing except a $20 bill, and a search of Cooke's Ferrari found a money clip with $108 (equivalent to $1,061 in 2023) as well as a few loose coins near the ashtray.
                ….
                ….
Singer Etta James viewed Cooke's body before his funeral and questioned the accuracy of the official version of events. She wrote that the injuries she observed were well beyond the official account of Cooke having fought Franklin alone. James wrote that Cooke was so badly beaten that his head was nearly separated from his shoulders, his hands were broken and crushed, and his nose mangled.
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Cooke#Death
Well, the witness accounts were consistent.
No one saw his death, except the woman who shot him and claimed self-defense.
There was no proof she murdered him.
                No evidence, no case.
                But that's a very nice
                Summertime
                version (your video).

The real truth will never come out.
Anyway - Thanks for the music Sam.
