Prince William, Prince of Wales, was the only Royal to kneel in allegiance to his Father.
Following the official crowning of the new monarch, William kneeled down and said:
"I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you, and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."

That was a nice moment of tradition. Prince Philip's duty was to say those words to Queen Elizabeth in 1953. He kept his promise.

        Yes, a touching moment. ♥
More than one person covertly needed a handkerchief.
Yes, Prince Philip kept his promise.
As Prince William will keep his promise.
Wanted to know if Prince Philip kissed his Queen's cheek also back then.
        Yes, he did. 👑 💋
Yesterday, Prince William confirmed his pledge with those wonderful words (again).
And he showed his love for his father and his love for all people who serve (again). 🇬🇧
