Way before 16d0that. It's Garry shandling's Show from the 1980s was the first time I really caught him. I found out later he was a writer on the very funny 70s sitcom Sanford & Son
OMG, I almost fell out of my chair when I read that. I watch S&S almost every day. And, I always thought what wonderful writing this show has. It's a super-witty show. I had no idea Garry wrote some of it, now I am not surprised it was so good.
I used to watch his shows in the 1980s as well. Loved it. Some jokes I still remember today and quote them often. I miss him alreadysigh.

I remember being aware of
It's Garry Shandling's Show
as a kid, so late-80s. Back then, FOX aired the reruns. I didn't remember much of the show111c, but rented the first season from Netflix, and found it hilarious.
Was an even bigger fan of
The Larry Sanders Show
. I really wish Netflix would re-stream the episodes, along with IGSS. -

wasn't until later that i became aware of his previous tv show, and have yet to see an episode of it.
