From the dent in the fence, and the position of the brick column, he was hit with tremendous force, and at very least, completely unable to breathe or move. Also it looks like an exclusive neighborhood where it wouldn't have been easily visible or heard by others.
Must have been absolutely terrifying last moments. RIP.

The "blame" game is about avoiding and going into denial about the "reality", "mishaps" and "sufferings" of life. It always has to be something else, or someone else. It just is most of the time. Yelchin may have simply forgotten to put on the park break, so his "own" actions had a consequence.

You mean the park break, if it was a manual vehicle? Or was it automatic? The car was found in neutral and the park break would have need been engaged regardless of the transmission, due to the slope.

no i mean park on the shifter. yes it was found in neutral because park on the shifter wasnt selected because no doubt due to the design that makes it hard to know when you are in park or not and hense why it was recalled. yes he should of engaged the park break (handbreak ) but most autos can hold the car on a slope without the park break..

If I turn off the engine and exit the car, yes I do. I guess you are the simpleminded one, because you can't see that if the handbreak was on, the car wouldn't have rolled backward. That is what it is for, a precaution and a good habit to get into using it. Perhaps you need some more driving lessons.

Congrats. You are one in a million when it comes to operation of a manual transmission. So superior and so special. Over 25 people have been injured because this new shifter is so non-intuitive, by not having a manual slot in which it fits when placing the vehicle in park, and it has caused over 100 collisions.
Because sliding it into park only activates an electronic sensor, and it springs back into a default position, it is easy to mistake neutral for park, and virtually anyone (excepting perfect little you) accustomed to an automatic would expect that putting it into park causes the transmission to hold the vehicle in place, esp if just hopping out to check something for a minute, which is why the manufacturers had issued a warning and planned to recall it prior to Yelchin's death.
