My feeling is this story won't be ultra chatty and hip like what we saw in Frances Ha. I've no way of knowing, but this sounds like such a personal project about a young woman during her last year at home in Sacramento Ca. It's not about a character trying to make her mark in the big apple. I'm just guessing at this point, but we should have many more details in the next few months.

Any thoughts on who could play her mother? I know its whishful thinking, but ever since that actors on actors interview I've been wondering how cool would it be Saoirse and Kate as mother and daughter in a movie, althought its almost impossible for Gerwig to get Winslet.

That would be something Poetswan. How about.

She's a seriously underrated actress and about 40 years old.
Oh, sorry. That's Judy Greer. -

I believe it launched Rachel Griffiths' career as well. -

Yes, the whole film was building beautifully slow towards that moment only to add more strenght to the "speak low" piano song scene that was so effectively powerful, it is one of my favorite scenes of the year, she and Zehrfeld were magnificent in that one, Nina is certainly outstanding.
