Christina Offley will start filming opposite Academy Award Nominee Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) in the upcoming motion picture Lady Bird
Lady Bird is entering her senior year of high school, at a Catholic girls school in Sacramento. Shes got no real plan for her future, shes flunking math, she fights with her Mom all the time, she cant get boys out of her head, and her hormones are raging. She wants to get out of Sacramento and prove something, but she doesnt know where to go, or what to prove
Lady Bird is being produced by Scott Rudin (Zoolander 2), and Directed by Greta Gerwig
Christina recently wrapped the motion picture The House for Warner Bros, opposite comedy stars Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell.
Christina is repped by Joe Lorenzo and Timothy Garrett at Society Entertainment.
The sinopsis is kind of worrying me, but this will be the most normal teen Saoirse has ever played. -

Greta Gerwigs Lady Bird Adds Jordan Rodrigues
Australian actor Jordan Rodrigues has joined the cast of Greta Gerwigs directorial debut Lady 2000Bird starring Saoirse Ronan. Loosely based on Gerwigs high school experience, the film follows a school senior (Ronan) spending her last year at home in Sacramento while trying to figure out how to get out of the small town.
Rodrigues will play Miguel, her adopted older brother who is destined for better things and helps his sister on her journey.

John Karna Joins Lady Bird
John Karna has been cast Greta Gerwigs Lady Bird, a film loosely based on Gerwigs high school experience that stars Saoirse Ronan, Tracy Letts, Beanie Feldstein, Laurie Metcalf and Timothee Chalamet.
Karna will play the lead of the high school musical who, in a twist, turns out to have be hooking up with the schools hot jock.
I dont know any of the actors, but its always good to hear about the plot a little. -

These snippets don't make me feel very good about the film. I don't know if I'm just overthinking it, but it sounds like a very generic teen movie. I'm hoping I will be surprised, don't see Saoirse signing up for a script like that.

I've only seen Francis Ha, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I was just worried because the snippets of the characters sound like typical generic roles set in a teen comedy. Knowing Saoirse and based on F.H. I'm sure I am wrong.

She says the pink bag almost matches her hair, thats why i think thats Lady Bird's hair. -

I saw that and it's good detective work. I couldn't put two and two together and realize it meant Saoirse isn't wearing a wig for Lady Bird.
But I guess what I ultimately mean is this looks after hours, at some LA event for which they had VIP passes. Is Lady Bird filming in LA or Sacramento, where it's supposed to be set?
I'm guessing the stylist goes to work on Saoirse every morning on set and, in this event, Saoirse might have changed it a bit.
But, I really have no idea and it may be exactly as you say. -

Given that we've not had anything related to an update on the film, you've found a few little nuggets. There was indeed an article that mentioned GG was having a difficult time raising the money needed to shoot in her beloved Sacramento.

Yes that post was the one making me think of the hair, although, about the style and make up settings we don't really have a clue, just more vague posts from the stylists, like this one, that seems like a potential look at her style or to one of the side characters, understanding things are or were on the pre-works and nothing is or was definite.

Now that I'm settled in and have had time to think about the earlier post today, I wonder if Lady Bird is primarily being shot in L.A. as opposed to Sacramento. The distance between the two is nearly 400 miles, so unless Saoirse was able to take a little time away from the shoot, my guess is the film is being produced in L.A.
