Renting from a library is "lower class"?!
    In the conspicuous consumption sense.

      "conspicuous consumption"

I'll think about that term tomorrow.

That's just criminal behavior. I used to download **** when I was actually poor, but that's been decades ago now. I actually don't mind paying for content, but I do think the streaming services have gotten insanely greedy lately so I can see why some people feel justified in stealing, they just can't afford it.

Do you watch shows/movies on Amazon Prime? They're adding ads next year too, unless you pay an extra $3 per month for the ad-free version:
"…Starting in early 2024, Prime Video shows and movies will include limited advertisements," the company stated. "Ads in Prime Video content will be introduced in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Canada in early 2024, followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later in the year."
Although the press release didn't specify just how many ads will be included in the ad-supported version of Prime Video, it's safe to say that "limited" ads won't be as enjoyable as the ad-free experience we've come to love.
As of right now, Prime members don't need to do anything. The company also noted that Prime members will receive an email "several weeks" ahead of the official rollout to give them the option to upgrade to ad-free streaming by paying the $3 premium.

That's ridiculous considering how much prime costs.
I actually got rid of prime a few months ago. I literally never watch anything on prime and was looking at how much I "saved on free prime shipping" over the course of having prime for several years and it was like $63… less than I paid for prime for 4 months. I almost never order anything through amazon and consider every aspect of amazon to be complete ****. They can keep it. Net result was I "saved" something like -$500…
And whatever happened to prime day? Used to be once a year, and now it's like every 2 months? It's all about them unloading junk they otherwise couldn't sell without "discounting" it. lol

Glad youre catching up hungry. The $1.99 a month is to help support reparations. The difference in the price is paid for by the DNC

If you don't have yt premium, you are doing it wrong. It's the only one that matters.

I’ve had YT Premium for 7 years. The others I’ll get for like a month for specific shows.
                      Stop.
