Oddly enough I haven't heard of Will Hay outside of Bob Monkhouse saying he was inspired by him in some of his interviews. A quick Google search showed him to be a man of repute from right before my knowledge of interest in British cinema.
Seems like there are a few YouTube videos out there on him and so a nice Sunday afternoon figuring out about him sounds about right

But yes and thank you. I'll give it a go. It was shown on Google with a search of his name and so it seems to be liked enough to show up there.
I'll download it and give it a watch on the TV away from the computer later on

I'm a big Bob Monkhouse fan and he's mentioned Will Hay often enough in his interviews but I just presumed that it was a working man's club performer who was well known before TV or film got as popular as it did.
So certainly a treat and I will lower the lights and pull the curtains on your advice
