I'm seeing Hinds right now. They're probably the best thing playing at the moment, but I'm not that into them, which is why I'm on my phone right now. Their accents are cute though. Thee Oh Sees are playing next. I saw them once before, having not heard them, and they were phenomenal live. I listened to a couple albums since and was not into them at all. It was like a completely different band. I'm sure they'll still rock it live though.

Wow what a great line up! Beach House is currently my second favorite band working right now. They're music is so beautiful, it's almost transcendent!
I also really love Phantogram, STRFKR and Deerhunter. I actually saw STRFKR live earlier this year and it was one of the most fun shows I've ever attended. -

As predicted, the highlight of the weekend was getting to see The Dead Milkmen, one of the most underrated bands of all time. Definitely a top 5 all time band for me. Maybe even top 3. They never fail to put a smile on a face. 10 albums, and every one is totally solid. Ranking them in order from favorite to least would be an impossible task. Unfortunately, they get unfairly labeled as a "novelty band" just because they have funny lyrics.
About an hour after I saw them I was just walking around and I ran into their drummer, Dean Clean. He seemed to recognize me as I was approaching him, but then I realized it was just because I was wearing my Dead Milkmen shirt. I didn't want to be an annoying gushing fan, so I just shook his hand and said "great job!" and moved on.
Some top tracks for the non-believers. I urge you to give them a listen:
Nutrition:
Nitro Burning Funny Cars:
Part 3:
If I had a Gun:
Big Words Make the Baby Jesus Cry:

I tried, man. They don't do anything for me. They just
sound
too jokey; too novelty. That first song, "Nutrition," was OK. It had good bass.
Least you got to see 'em. That's cool.
You got the wrong guy, mang. I don't come off no banana boat.
