I've never seen WWZ. Another big budget Hollywood zombie flick…meh. Romero cranked out his zombie masterpieces on shoestring budgets using mostly unknown actors in Pittsburgh. I made a deal with the ghost of George Romero to never watch any non-Romero zombie films again (with the exception of European zombie films from the 70s and early 80s) and so far I haven't regretted it.
The DOTD remake is watchable but lacks everything that made the original film so wonderful: interesting characters, good soundtrack music, atmosphere, scares, etc. -

Don't bother, it's pretty awful. The DofD remake wins by default.
Now comparing DotD ORIGINAL with its remake would be a better poll.
I even rewatched WWZ to see if it really was bad or if I just wasn't in the mood.
It was really that bad. -

I guess I'd say WWZ was worse but they're both such godawful movies that one feels bad drawing too much of a distinction.
