Of course a seeing eye dog has a legitimate reason to be in a market.
I don't know if it's trendy where you live, but in LA everyone has to have a dog and they have to take it everywhere. It's a hipster thing. I love dogs. But I don't need my dog at the market with me. It's a sanitation issue. It may technically be against the law to bring an animal in a store. But it's so trendy here now that markets are afraid to tell these middle class bitches they have to leave their mutt in the car.

Haven't seen much of it up this way, and I've been to stores all around the area. Sounds like something they would do in Austin though. Electric scooters on the other hand… are every damn where!
But I agree, dogs shouldn't be allowed in grocery stores or anywhere else where food is sold. Those are probably the same people who let their pets lick them in the face and mouth. Yick.

I love seeing dogs in the store. If it's a little dog they're usually in the cart. Service dogs are on a leash

I live in the center of a busy metropolis, so we don't have the luxury of silence around here. I'm a true city girl, and I go a bit stir crazy whenever I have to spend more than a day or two in the country. It's too damn quiet!

The black kid said it, not me. Again, I was like "WTF?" I had no clue. I know why homeless fools steal shopping carts, Miss Thaaang. But these are little baskets. If you wanna carry something home you get a bag. Bags are easier to carry than one of those little baskets.

But seriously, I don't think you've solved the mystery of the missing baskets. Like I said, bags are more convenient if you have to walk home from the market. They're stealing them for some other nefarious purpose. Maybe we need more black fools here before we can finally solve this urban mystery.
