CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

I think the longest piece of music that I really love is Robert Rich's
            Somnium
            , at 7 hours.

Yeah, DVD. Well, it might be available in another format now but I got it on DVD. You can hear the whole thing on youtube, though the quality isn't as good:
He did a sequel that's even longer (8 hours), though I prefer the original:

God bless you and his family always!!!

P.S. According to this website, his original copy of the song goes for six whole minutes. (smiles)

                    Gates of Delirium - Yes
                    Awaken - Yes
One For The Vine - Genesis

                    Echoes - Pink Floyd
It may be debatable whether Nektar's "Recycled" could be considered a long song or a suite of shorter songs, but I'll list that as well.

but Tubular Bells just repeats ad nauseamit could be 3 mins or 3 hours & it would all sound roughly the same. No modulation, no emotion, just moodit's no that far removed from a John Carpenter soundtrack.

Of course I have; I wouldn't know how boring it was if not, would Ibut what's to hear anyway? Its tedious & rarely-washed fans always take it all so fuqqing seriously (& themselves too), but it's little more than vapid, repetitive shyte served with a picture of an airborne exhaust pipe.

I bet that without looking it up you can't say what traditional folk music form ends it, nor what role Vivian Stanshall played on it. I reckon you gave up on it after a few minutes and guessed that the rest was the same, because anyone who had heard all of it wouldn't be so ignorant. This is yet another example of what I said yesterday: you know bugger all about most popular music.
