              Also, the movie itself was the "big giveaway at 9" lead in. So they showed the scene of Laurie walking across to the Wallace house.

                  That would have been one crowded movie. Explaining how Myers survived the explosion and him emerging from the coma would take up a lot of the running time. And then adding all the elements from Halloween III on top of that. It would be interesting though seeing Myers involved with the Silver Shamrock plot. Like others have said though, it probably wouldn't have worked.
