How Much Of This Movie Couldn't Happen Today?

I'm just thinking given this movie will be 30 years old next year, there is so much of it that wouldn't be the case these days.
- They wouldn't be building a sub that big in the first place because we wouldn't be worried about the Russians. Maybe China or North Korea, but definitely not the old USSR.
- Pretty much any data request done on a computer could be found in ten minutes by someone being paid $35K a year.
- They would have had Susan Atwell's last known locations triangulated by satcom and traffic cam.
- Tom's DNA? Not a problem. He'd be nailed for nailing her.
- The two 'bookmarks' would have been far more subtle in getting to Nina if they needed to be.
But look on the bright side: the background music would be so less annoying. I swear, that alone almost ruins the movie.
