If you are in the US then it will be under the title of "The Bear" not Ours, L'. I found a DVD of it at Wal Mart for 5.50. look in the DVD discount basket. you are sure to find it. it made me cry as well. The mom and the cub are perfect, and then that rock slide cubs along and everything changes.

I think I have watched a small part of this movie but I'm not too sure. Cos' the only scene I caught was this bear cub being hunted by a cougar and how the bear cub got away from danger and was saved at last by the Grizzly. Please confirm if this is the movie. If so, definitely i will get it! Thanks in advance!

This is the movie, with the little bear beeing chased by a cougar scene, dude. If you can still get it, watch it and keep in in a safe place for your kids in the future 🙂

Man it took me three country's and about 15 years to track down a copy of this film. You are totally right. If you can find it, get it and keep it for your kids!

I kind of thought I was the only one, and I'm a 21 year old guy too. This is a really touching movie.

You cried?! God you're a sissy!
No, I'm only kidding. I cried to when I was younger, and now, I have to fight back the tears. However, the part that always gets me is when the cub is roaring/screching at the puma/moutain lion, and it flees, and the camera pans around to see the adult male roaring. I always, ALWAYS, have to fight back the tears at that part. Actually, the whole movie was a major tear jerker, but that part always was rough for me. Great movie. Good to hear that there are guys out there that aren't afraid to admit they cry. (Well, it's over the internet, and while it might be a small step, it's still a step regardless.)

That part always gets me too. I Love it, makes me wanna jump up and shout Hell yeahlolI love Grizzly,Kodiaks,Browns, whatever you wanna call them Although this movie didnt make me cry, I will admit about 80% of the Little House on the Prairie episodes make me cry, and I am 33..

80% of Little House and 99% of Touched by an Angel made me cry. So did the Bear. I know what you mean - I just wanted to pick the little bear up and cuddle him so he would know he wasn't alone. I too loved the scene where the puma was attacking the cub and scratched his nose and he was making those funny noises, not realizing Bart was behind him. And the ending - absolutely breaktaking.

Yeah, that's gotta be the hardest part in the movie. I just felt so sorry for him when he got scratched by the cougar, and it was like he he was crying in defiance when he roared. I was thinking "you go little bear" So sad, but I'm glad his big friend helped him out and save him.

I am also 21 year old, and I still feel miserable about it. Of all the death scenes I have seen this is one of the hardest. Although I still find it weird how exactly she died (she pulled a rock on herself didn't she?), it is so hard. Especially that the cub does not accept it, he tries to wake his mummy, tries to believe she isn't really hurt that bad, and as he is trying, we are too! And that's what makes it so hard to watch, the little cub doesn't have to try, it is over. He is now alone, without his beloved mother, alone, and afraid:(
I really kept thinking for a while, come on! Maybe she is not dead!

I watched this movie when I was about 6 and watched it the other day. I am now 24 and absoutely loved it! I thought it was so touching and emotional I couldnt hold back the tears. A beautiful movie. It's amazing the affect animals have on us. I bought it thinking that it would be quite dated and not as good as i remembered but it was even better now that I am a grown-up. I got it for 5 and it's the best bargain ever. The scene that i thought was the most emotional is where the big bear gets shot and the baby bear cleans his wounds. I was in tears (so was my mum). Anyone who reads this should buy it!!

I was fortunate enough to tape it and I don't know why I decided to do so but I did and that was about 9 years ago. I have a treasure in my collection!

I love this movie after watching it on HBO. Then watched it a few more times. I cried when the mother died, when the men leave the baby cub and he cries out, and the ending. I probably wouldn't watch it again because it makes me too sad.

Brilliant movie, and it made me misty eyed lots of times, the scene where the cub tore the rope and slept with bear skin was also very poignant.
