Here are the funny lines I remember, haven't seen this film for a while but this I do remember: (to a fellow surgeon) "If you don't like my jokes, don't laugh. But if you ever tell me we gonna lose a patient again, I'm gonna take your organs out with a spoon!" (during the trial hearing) "I don't think I'm god-I am God!" (to Andy) "She might as well slept with the entire LA Lakers for all I care!"
My theory on Feds is that they're like mushrooms: feed them beep keep them in the dark.

It's actually "lungs with a beep ice cream scoop"
I loved Jed's lawyer's line "It's not my job to hold your hand"

I'm paraphrasing, perhaps, but "He didn't 'say' it, he 'wrote' it." To this day, so many years after first seeing this, I scramble to change "said" to "wrote" when I've used the former erroneously when replying to an IMDb post, etc. I'm that afraid of the displeasure of Jed! (Being an obsessive sort of erstwhile English major enters into it, as well. Once I know a word usage is incorrect . . . But mainly, it's Baldwin.)

Saying is not the same as speaking though. We use the word 'say' for a lot of things that aren't making sounds with your mouth and most particularly the written word and the message it conveys, so it is perfectly correct to use the word 'said' if you're writing about something someone wrote 🙂 Says refers to the act of getting a message across, not the medium with which it is delivered.

"Jed, take a drink. Take a pill. Do whatever you have to do but
            lighten the fck up
            . What did he
            write
            ?"
(not Baldwin's line, I know, but still another great one)
Wait a minute who am I here?
