dude i forgot all about this movie. i can't remember when i saw it but i know it was well over ten years ago. maybe even in the 90s. turned on the TV today and BAM there it was again. i don't know why this one slipped my mind; it has a lot of suspense, turns and twists.
i say it has a lot of hitchcock in the film. keeps you wondering every single minute what will happen next.
just now found out from reading the boards here that this was the inspiration for 24. .never heard that.
but in any case, i like this film. i recommend it. not sure why all the hate and criticism on this board. my only criticism is using marsha mason, b/c i can't stand her for some reason. dunno why. i can think of a dozen other 50ish milfs they coulda used instead of her. she just creeps me out for some reason

Agreed! Way to pick up on that..Badham made effective use of clock closeups, lights & shadows that it did take on that Hitchcockian effect now that you mention it. Never heard that connected to this movie before but totally agree w/you.

I didn't notice the Hitchcock influence until probably my third viewing
