Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Die Another Day

    coolslowhand — 9 years ago(October 06, 2016 07:44 PM)

The beginning of the film was promising - Bond is betrayed by an unknown, is a POW, given up by MI6, and escapes to clear his own name.
But at some point this movie becomes one of the all time worst.
By the end of it, we have the infamous invisible car, the snow-lodge, a goofy plot where they change faces, and seemingly out of nowhere, a special glove the villain puts on for special powers.
At what point did you say "uh oh?" and realize the crap was coming?
On a side note - has their EVER been a good Bond where he left MI6? QoS was the worst of the Craig films, Die another day the worst of the Brosnan, and License to Kill was, well, just bad all the way around.

Hahahhahah. Good point. when it moved I said "in oh"
Also, the whole palace of ice was a bit cartoonish, even though places like that apparently exist.

Uh Licence to Kill is one of the best Bond films, I agree though Quantum of Solace was pure dogsh!t.

                  Meanwhile, back at the OP.
I knew this was going to be a bad movie is Bond surfs into North Korea.

Very early on the ridiculous fake beard, being able to lower his heart rate at will, Bond waltzing thru the hotel lobby in terrible shape all looked ridiculous, such a shame because Brosnan is my 2nd favorite Bond after Connery, terrible way to go wish they had hired Martin Campbell to finish the Brosnan era.
