- hospital administrators, and not medical personnel, inform patients about their diagnostic. They also know what treatment is needed and how much it will cost.
- if a hospital has 1,000 paying patients, they should treat one for free.
- if you need $75,000 to save your son's life, no amount of effort will suffice. No credit, donations, mortgage will cover this amount. You have to prepare yourself to commit a crime to save him.
- no any crime is OK to get the money needed. You need to kidnap the hospital at gun point, take hostages, risk the life of all involved, including yours, your son's and the doctor's life.
- hostages have plenty of cold blood to discuss their private issues during a kidnapping
- heart transplants are simple operations, that can be performed by a single doctor without previous testing. (I just commit suicide right here, and then you put my heart on my son, OK? OK?)
- if you have a good reason to threaten people with a gun, kidnap them, take hostages, and
beat up a SWAT agent, then, you'll get "not more than three to five (years)" and your lawyer can "try to reduce it to two."

Sorry, there's much more than that.The short answer is that we humans have a very complex human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. The only way of really deciding about compatibility is testing and re-testing, unless both donor and recipient are twins.
