Dexter's ending SUCKED. 3/10
House's ending was okay, imo. 7/10
SFU's ending was very powerful and endlessly rewatchable. 9/10
The Shield's final 10 minutes, while low key, was still mind-blowing. A masterpiece of restraint. 9.5/10

I think The Shield had the greatest final season and finale of all time.
Breaking Bad, Six Feet Under, Psych, Magnum PI, China Beach and Spartacus also had great endings

Fringe (Not many people that watch these type of shows watch a lot of science fiction/drama shows, so you probably wouldn't get past the first few episodes)

I agree.
The crescendo of that show for me
was when they killed Clay.
That whole scene pretty much wrapped everything up. It was never on the level of the Shield; however, I enjoyed the show up to that point.

And the answer is NO! There are a bunch of shows much more superior then the shield. But The shield ending is probably the strongest ending ever (shows movies doesn't matter). And I've seen a lot.
