I have just finished watching the film. Quite good, above average. Deserved no more than 6/10 though in my opinion.
Plot holes aside, one thing struck me as being quite odd. The birth of the twins. What message was the writer trying to convey to the audience, by having two children of differing colour? -

I think that was planned by the High Priestess. It was part of the manipulation of the Neolites, virgin-birth twins of "opposite colors" to reel in people of diverse ethnicities into their growing "faith"all part of their power grab.

It was supposed to exaggerate the miraculous nature, the virgin not only gave birth, but bore children of both races.
I saw it as saying this was an immaculate conception and all people, regardless of the petty differences we use to divide ourselves, are all children of the Higher Power.
SciFi-for those who understand the space outside the box is less crowded. -
