Michelle Yeoh seemed genuinely attracted to Vin Diesel, certainly more so than Pierce Brosnan ("Tomorrow Never Dies") or Yun-fat Chow ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"). Had the writers taken more advantage of that, the movie would have more interesting and poignant.

her acting got better over time? She quit with the perpetual smile from the Bond film.

I think the attachment between VD & MY had to be comeradly rather than romantic otherwise there was problem with the VD, MT story line. But now that you mention it perhaps MY's reaction when she walked in on VD & MT in an almost kiss was disappointment rather than embarrassment?

Michelle's character was a nun, she was supposed to keep the girl pure and unspoiled

True. But she is also a warrior and in accordance with the laws of film making required to be conflicted by her sense of duty versus respect and growing attraction for our hero.
