No need to apologize, just remember when we heard 'wall' we knew it meant comprehensive and effective immigration policy reform and enforcement.
No "we" didn't hear anything - since the concrete wall was outlined with illustrations and dimensions on his website. If I say I'm going to build you a 14 room/19 bath mansion, draw up the plans, an show you pictures of what said mansion will look like - then I build you a tiny house with a portapotty - you would have every right to scream foul and sue me.
Medicare and ACA has serious issues that can be solved at a federal level. It needs to be touched in the interests of public wellness. Which is to say many of the things both programs provide are worth preserving, but providing more efficiently and effectively. If that is change you object totough.
People like Medicare as is - and providing vouchers to people to give to insurance companies that won't cover the full cost since the voucher will stay the same no matter how much the costs increase - is not beneficial no matter how much you try to spin it.
And whether you wrongly think it needs to be "touched" is not the point. Point is Trump said he wouldn't and campaigned on that promise - since most seniors do not want it "touched" - so if it's "touched" anyway - isn't that a LIE?
But you let the DNC pull it, they are still pulling it. I think you would have a new understanding of common sense if you took your chain away from any political ideology or facton.
You said that I should listen to Oprah - as if because she's a Democrat - I should suspend common sense. I replied that's not something I am willing to do - Democrat or not.
What you responded with about me sticking to political ideology is actually the exact opposite of what I said I would do.

Haven't you heard the wall is now a fence. LOL - a fence can't even keep out a strong a gust of wind. Big difference between a WALL and a fence - that we already have up in some parts of the southern border.
Also Obama deported 2 million immigrants and didn't run on and anti immigration campaign - so deporting 3 millions isn't some great feat and is only a million more than the previous administration.
In addition 3 million will not make a dent in the 12 million illegals already here - so how much of an impact do you think that deportation will have?

A Wall provides more protection than a fence and is less penetrable - it's more beneficial for keeping those people that are taking our jobs (with the help of Big Republican Business owners that hire them - though no one mentions that) which was the whole point - now that it has been shown that it's unlikely to happen via a GOP congress - you now change your tune and say "well just build something" - see things like that is why they do what they do - because you are not holding your party responsible for the things they promised.
He said a WALL - you should demand a wall - since that's what you voted for - not rope, or string, or a bearer or dirt.

Not the whole border. They can go over the top, through it, or under it. All of that can be stopped or dramatically reduced. No one except you are making a big deals out of what the wall looks likes.

No Trump made the biggest big deal about it - what the wall would look like since it was posted on his website - loud out loud - with illustrations and everything. Have you ever been to the southern boarder - do you even live in a boarder state? You act as if we don't have any broader patrol or agents to stop people now.
If I was contractor and made the same promises Trump did in regards to a wall and gave you a fence you would sue me for misrepresentation.
A wall is not the same as a fence and the fact that you have to try to convince yourself of that instead of being upset at your GOP congress who is supporting a fence instead of the "great" wall speaks volumes.
