Battlefield Earth
was pretty much a Scientology movie.
Deepa Mehta's
Water
sparked all kinds of noise from Hindus.
Submission
addresses Islam.
Wheel of Time
is about Buddhism. You could probably credit
Kundun
as being about Buddhism, though it's more specifically about the Dalai Lama.
There are countless ones. You'd be better off specifying one faith at a time.

Those all sound like cool movies. Actually, although I didn't get to see
Water
, I actually knew someone who starred in it:
Rishma Malik. I went to elementary school. In fact, she is on my FB list.

On the Actors & Actresses message forum, someone created a topic thread about famous people whom you've either seen or met, & not only did I include famous people I met, I included ones I actually knew.

Reported, slug.
Thanks for the Red Warning,
. You boys depend on your one-way censorship, don't you?
I never claimed that, liar Allaby
. May you rot in an old folk's home for the last 45 years of your life, and have to listen to 'elevator music' and eat tasteless food for invalids,
and never have sex again. -

Little Buddha (1993) - flashbacks of the early years of Siddhartha Gautama.
The Fountain (2006) - combines elements of Mayan religion, Christianity and Buddhism.
Apocalypto (2006) - story features Mayans, but the religious sacrifice practices are those of Aztecs.
Black Robe (1991) - main story is about a Jesuit priest, but it also includes Algonquin beliefs regarding death and the She-Manitou.
Kung Fu (1972 tv pilot) - flashbacks include teachings of Shaolin monks. Some of the ideas are taken from the Tao Te Ching.
The Egyptian (1954) - story includes an early attempt at monotheism as a state religion. Not historically accurate, but still interesting.
Clan of The Cave Bear (1986) - depicts rituals of stone age culture with the Shaman and the hunting rites of passage.
Stories which feature the Greek gods:
Clash of The Titans (1981)
Jason and The Argonauts (1963)
Stories which include the Dalai Lama:
Kundun (1997)
Seven Years In Tibet (1997)

The Man from Earth.
I thought it was poorly written, but it does cover several religious and philosophical issues.
Bowie's
The Man Who Fell to Earth- some spirituality going on there.
Shinran: His Life and Light - Japanese animated feature on the life of Shinran Shonin, unofficial founder of Jodo Shinshu "Shin" Buddhism.
Being There - is Peter Sellers merely a simpleton, or in his heart of hearts is he "on to something"?
Groundhog Day
(coming up soon now) - very spiritual with Bill Murray caught in a Purgatory or a Bardo realm until he learns real compassion.
