Wow you people are unbelievable, just enjoy the movie will you.
And i knew from the first time she came inside when his dad saw her that they had something many years ago.
My thought was, what is the change she gets in love with the son of a former lover 40+ years ago, when there are 300+ million people living in the USA.
The only thing i think is the right answer was because it was faith, they had to meet each other.
Yes it was a fantastic movie, and because of my sister i could see this great movie, thanks sis. -

The main difference is that she doesn't age like normal people except in the knowledge department. She learns more, knows morebut her body just doesn't age but she can die.
Soshe's one very lucky or unlucky (depending on how you see it) 107 yr old woman regardless of her looks.
The reason it's creepy from reality standpoints is because the guy is usually old looking and accepts the fact that it doesn't bother him a younger woman is most likely NOT physically attracted to him. Likepeople are generally attracted to someone either younger, or near the same age. there is of course the variables. but I'm not going down that road.
If you are a guy and look 27-28 but are 40.. should you not go for younger women? Orgo for the older ones? I suppose you go for what you can get away with. Lively wasn't asking out men left and right. she was basically a loner in the film.

Sorry i still see no reason why it was creepy, she looks like a 30 year young women and the dad was about 30 years when he had a relationship with her, and 40 years later she has a relationship with his son, without she knowing it, and she still looks like a 30 years young woman, so why do people or you think it's creepy??
I would not have a problem having a relationship with a older women (10 a 15 a 20 years older) if we love each other then there is no problem, and if i knew she was 107 and looks like 30 year old women i also would not have a problem with that.
The age is not the problem the way people think is is the problem. -

Shallow? Because someone has a different subjective opinion on sexuality than you do? Give me a break. As long as someone is 18 years of age, they are considered an adult and have the right to choose who to be with, and yes that includes sexually. Just because you find it creepy that younger people sleep with much older people doesn't mean squat. You subjective opinion is just one of millions of subjective opinions on the matter. Don't get me wrong, your entitled to your opinion on this matter, but to push your opinion on others or criticize others for having an opinion that differs from your own..well, that is comical at best. Actually, not accepting and respecting that different people have different opinions, values, etc. and are entitled to those opinions is a child's mentality.

Adaline sleeps with William's son. I'm sorry, if we replaced Adeline with a guy and had him sleep with the much younger daughter of the woman he was sleeping with 50 years ago, I doubt modern women would be swooning over this..

So what your saying is, as long as my 12 year old daughter looks 23 its totally not creepy for her to date 23 year olds. This is where this is a problem. I don't care how old you look if you have to emotional mentality of a peach you probably shouldn't be dating Einstein. With these characters we aren't talking about 20 years or even 40. Some of these immortals are centuries older than their lovers. Thats beyond an age gap thats lifetimes of differences and knowledge. We learn so little while we are on this earth. These people are essentially Gods of knowledge after a few decades. Thats whats gross about it. Its like me dating my innocent dog who will never really know anything in this world and will die fairly soon while I'll know how to speak Russian in a few years and study Socrates. Adaline and that man were not on the same level at all. She knew so much more than him. She was so much wiser and that would ultimately be their downfall. He would just hold her back.

Age doesn't matter. What matters is whether 2 people can have an emotional connection. Some people are more or less mature than other people from their age group.

If an immortal being is in a sexual relationship with a mortal being, I do not see it as creepy if the immortal being has the physical appearance of the mortal being.
Why should it be creepy? What if the immortal being is 1,000 years old. Should that immortal being stop having sexual relationships and live out a solitary existence for the rest of eternity? After all, there is no way for this being to be with anyone his own age.
