They busted her ass for reading a book. Her parents were the complete opposite when it came to her sister though. They let her do whatever she wanted. I get that they didn't want her trying to become a witch or whatever LOL but she wasn't like that at all.. she just wanted to read them because all of her friends were.

Yep, I agree.
There was the whole Satanic Panic in the 90's started by crazy and overzealous "Christians" who were so intent on pushing a very warped agenda on everyone. A lot of innocent people suffered because of that, and still do.

Honestly, how you are right now is the main reason I didn't feel my prayer would reach you and I was surprised you agreed to having me pray for you.
I should have done it anyway. Maybe if I had, things would have gotten a little better for you. I'm sorry I let you down. -

I grew up in a southern Baptist church, and the old pastor was amazing. His wife was too. When I was a kid, the pastor's wife would talk harry potter with me all the time. She even gave me a harry potter pillow (I still have it). They knew that it's just a story, and it's not anti-Christian. The new pastor there probably burns harry potter books. I dont like him. I left the church some time ago.
