And then there's the aluminum vs. aluminium discussion.
hood vs. bonnet
trunk vs. boot
truck vs. lorry
elevator vs. lift
girl vs. bird
bathroom vs. loo
dude vs. bloke
tired vs. knackered
Apparently, stupid people
don't know
they're stupid. -

Nah, my chippie is decent
I mix it up, but I rarely go these days; sausage supper, ashet pie, saveloy, black pudding, haggis, king rib, deep fried pizza with curry sauce and the haddock, cod, plaice and pollock of the day.
Sometimes just a roll and fritter (With curry sauce) but I think it's been nearly a year since my last chippie. No idea why.
What about you?

What I meant was, if you want something that's going to take a while like a large cod you attract his attention and let him know so while you're queuing your fish is cooking. See?
I get cod, chips and curry sauce, occasionally Scampi or if I'm not very hungry a chip bap. I don't do meat at the chippy
pies sitting under the lights for hours or deep fried burgers are a no no! -

I've been really lucky with chippies since hitting adulthood. It used to be a pain in the arse queuing during lunch break at school but I think I picked up the flow of how it works from then, check the cabinet and if there's no (Or few) of what you want put a call out straight off and it'll be ready for you come wrapping time.
I've no problem with meat and the like, I know it's filth but I'm hardly there for a salad and so can take it (You know me and Pot Noodles and the like!).
Odd thing, one of my favourite chippies got bought over by this nice Polish guy who did fish to perfection but he wouldn't do Fritters as he thought it messed up his oil.
Lasted a year
But damn, do I love me some fritters!

Well that depends Lara
If we are talking only North America then sweetcorn and turkey are from there
If we are talking the Americas then tomatoes, chilli, coffee, chocolate and of course potatoes are all native to Southern America and much of the world uses all of them as staples now
