My top choice is obviously Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, but I also like Auron from Final Fantasy X. What say you?

I guess Link. He just doesn't give a flying fck about anything. No expression, no emotion, no words, just smashes everyone's pottery and fcks up giant monsters like a gay looking Terminator.

According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking.

                  Sonic. He
                  runs
                  toward danger!
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

If you're talking about a character who does lots of things that I'd personally be intimidated by, because of the danger and pain involved, then it could be so many different characters.
However, I'd prefer not to pick an emotionless character who comes across as unaffected by what they're doing, since it seems braver to me when someone does something that genuinely intimidates them.
Most games don't show fear in the protagonist. Perhaps it's because we can instead assume the character is feeling the same intimidation the player feels, but another reason has to be that protagonists will look more appealing to juveniles if they're an emotionless cyborg.
The Last Guardian is better at depicting fear in its characters than most games.
Snake is also a bit more unique in that he's shown to go through a fair amount of flat-out anguish and torture, which makes his perseverance seem braver, although he still doesn't show much fear.
I haven't played Luigi's Mansion, but I'm guessing Luigi ought to come across as downright brave if he prevails in that game, since he's definitely intimidated by what he's doing.

Luigi is visibly pooping his pants for about 90% of the game.

Yet he carries on. That shows real bravery.
It would be easier to do something when you're not afraid of doing it.

And that is why even though his voice was campy as hell, David Hayter was the better actor for big boss. I don't care about a big boss who 'stare intensifies' 90% of the time. Even if the alternative believes in Santa Clause.

Kratos is pretty brave. He takes on all the Greek gods and kills them all.
