It's because you're poor or middle class. If you were rich she'd let you do anything, even grab her.

              It's not normal.
It's a sure sign that the cat needs to be humanely put down ASAP.

You know, the term "bricked" when referring to a piece of electronics ceasing to work came about because sometimes people's cats would start make weird noises constantly, and the typical response was to hit them over the head with a brick, killing them. So now when our electronics start making weird noises and end up dying, we refer to them as "bricked". P. interesting eh??

I just figured poor people used bricks as paperweights in the olden days, with the modern equivalent being broken Xboxes.

I would try feeding your cat. You'll be surprised at the results. Like, your cat still being able to function.

I dunno, all of my cats act like that fromt time to time, depending on their mood. And since they are hunters and more of night creatures it's only natural that they get active later in the evening and during the night.

Assuming she's been spayed, your cat is probably just lonely and has a lot of excess energy.
                            Things I'd recommend:
-Feed her right before bed time, if possible.
-Try to wear her out by playing with her for a good 15 minutes or so. Laser pointers, teaser wands, etc.
-Leave some toys she can play with alone after you go to bed to entertain herself.

All my cats do that, some more than others. I just give them the fuss when they demand it. I'm whipped that way.
"Hello? I just shot somebody, I did it on purpose!"

How come you can't sleep in bed with your cat? It needs you.
Sleep past the time it wants? Forget it. Cat will miss you and meow your ass up.
Don't let it in rooms? That is burning curiosity for the cat. The home is their castle.
                                I have 8 cats and 3 dogs.
