Burnt Offerings is a favorite!
Everyone always thinks of Trilogy of Terror when Karen Black is mentioned. That was truly one creepy film. Especially for a made for TV movie of the week.
May I recommend Five Easy Pieces and another good one is Come Back To The Five and Dime Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean?
Some interesting performances from Black….

Thanks. I've wanted to see Come Back To The Five and Dime Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean for quite some time actually. My mother spoke of it many times and it has a great cast.
Regarding Trilogy of Terror, years ago, I bought a replica of the Zuni warrior doll complete with the chain around his waist and a scroll warning the importance of never removing the chain. One day I walked in my bedroom and noticed that he had fallen off the mantel and broke his neck! Thankfully the chain was still intact.

Both Come Back To The Five and Dime and Nashville are Robert Altman films.
Thankfully the chain was still intact.
I believe that my heart would have lodged in my throat, had that happened to me… not that i would have a Zuni Warrior Doll in my possession willingly!
