Way dated, but have you seen The Counselor? I liked it a lot, but many people didn't.
The screenplay was written by C. McCarthy who wrote No Country For Old Men.

Another old one, but have you seen Black Mass with Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger?
I found that to be quite intense. I've watches some docs about Bulger, and the movie seems to follow along reality quite nicely most of the time.

I have seen that too, I enjoyed the Bostonian accents and seeing Todd from breaking bad in other things is always a blast
It made me sad though, because the guys name is
          " James " whitey " Bulger "
and the name " James Bulger " may make a British person think of…some sad ****….for sure.

I really enjoyed that one. Good acting all the way around, and I agree with you about the Boston accent.
On another site i was once saying how much I liked The Departed, and an ex-Bostonian straightened me out about most of that one being filmed in NYC.

The departed was the start of my theory that Matt Damon and Mark Whalberg are secret brothers

                          Captain Ron.
It has Martin Short playing an upright family man who is left a boat by his dead uncle, and he takes it out captained by a inept sailor played by Kurt Russell.
