I read he's serving some kind of sentence, but what is it exactly? Whatever it is I heard it's going to last for 10 years. Please tell me he's not in jail for 10 years! It just doesn't seem right. What did he even do?

I heard that he "sexually assaulted" (boob grabbing) a 12 year old girl. He isn't in jail, but he is under severe watch or something. And he isn't allowed to be "Don Vito" for 10 years. (Being in a show, acting like him at signings etc.)
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But I think thats what happened.
EDIT: I was reading through another topic and someone posted this,
"Vito has been cleared of the molestation charges, however he failed four drug tests and violated his parole, so he still has to go to court for that." He also was over the legal limit for drinking. -

Vito was
not
cleared of the molestation charges. He was convicted on Oct. 31 2007 of two counts of sexual assault on a minor and acquitted on one count. He later pleaded guilty to cocaine possession. -

The reason he's not allowed to act as Don Vito is because the defense said that's what he was doing at the time he touched those two little girls. Since that's the type of thing his character tries to do, the judge made that a stipulation of his sentence.
