Let's not pivot…the conversation is about needing an ID to purchase a firearm…do you concede your original stance?

Yes, you generally need valid identification to buy a gun from a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL), such as a gun store, Walmart, or other retail outlet.
Federal law requires that you present a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, military ID) when purchasing a firearm from an FFL.
You must also complete ATF Form 4473, which includes questions about your background, and undergo a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) check.
The ID must typically show your name, date of birth, and current address. Some states may require additional documents, such as proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement).
      nope. I win.

I don't know about most of those countries but India goes to extreme lengths to make sure everyone has access to a polling station. I can't see America doing that. Republican governors have a tendency to close as many poll locations as they can get away with in blue cities.

I don't see how that's a good reason to accept less secure elections

Elections where 50 people vote illegally are a lot more legitimate than ones where hundreds of thousands of legal voters get purged.

incorrect. even one illegal vote disenfranchises millions. it cannot be allowed.

When the number of legitimate voters being disenfranchised is at least 1,000x the number of fake voters, no.

which is why every civilized country requires voter ID, and even many uncivilized countries
