One of those European ****holes prevented Charlie Gard from getting test treatment, they said he had to die, there was another case around that time where the same thing happened, I thought it was Sweden on the other one because I remember our European friends on here and the FB group defending it saying how the moral thing to do was to just let him lay there and die and arrest the parents if they try to take him for experimental treatments in the US.
lol, that all sounds quite insane, and no civilised country here in Europe, nor parents would let that happen. ive never heard of it.
i guess there are special cases where a person, child is so far gone that the trip alone would cause so much prolonged suffering for a minimal chance of recovery, but even that would be a chance most parents would risk. if there is any barrier it would be financial. trust me, no kid would die in the name of free healthcare, or for the disdain for your healthcare system.
Thats it, I’m going to clown college -

Yeah, it happened, Charlie Gard was actually a global story, and there was another one right after him.

"Free" meaning government controlled Healthcare. You put them in charge of your Healthcare then they ultimately have that power.

I liked when all the "Healthcare is a human right" people over here switched their positions to "Fine then you don't get Healthcare and I hope you die" as soon as some people said they weren't interested in getting the rushed vaccine. They showed their cards real quick.

I know you're being sarcastic, but there's some truth to this. However, he does have the capability of opening his eyes. His stance on unchecked, unlimited immigration has done a 180 over the years.

Rob is entirely pragmatic and clear-eyed when it comes to his politics, which is why I appreciate what he says. It also helps that we seemingly share most political views!
Most of us in other Western countries call it universal healthcare, because that's what it is: it's not free, you do pay for it through taxes, but it covers everyone.
It needs big improvements, doesn't work perfectly, is inefficient at times, but normally and generally it's better than the alternative. How do I know? Lots of family and friends who have been exposed to the US alternative, working and living there. Plus your healthcare per person in the US is astronomically expensive with poor outcomes compared to other OECD (Western) countries.
If you are happy with it, from a personal experience or perhaps more importantly to you from a philosophical approach, great. I wouldn't want it, myself.
But we have all talked about this many times before… -

Nah, not entirely, mostly maybe, but not entirely.

The number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States are medical costs.
So? Most times bankruptcy is a strategic move rather than a last resort struggling move. A lot of times bankruptcy is a legal way to beat the system. Your argument doesn't mean anything. It is incredibly easy to get Healthcare in the US, like insanely easy. I worked at a job part time, not even in a union, broke my wrist, went to the ER, a few days later went in and saw one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the nation, when it was all done I was left with zero bills and paid nothing out of pocket. Bernie is lying to you fools because he knows you're simply that, fools.

And, all of ^this aside, while it may be the #1 reason people file bankruptcy, statistically in the US nobody files bankruptcy, it's statistically nonexistent. Like way less than 1% of adults.

Yeah, Bernie's lying to you. But I like how your "bankruptcy" argument fell flat so you resorted to flailing.

You really should do some research so you stop making a fool out of yourself.
https://legaljobs.io/blog/bankruptcy-statistics/
More than 40% of US survey respondents are currently in debt due to medical bills.- At least 24% of survey respondents in the US are currently facing medical bankruptcy.
Medical bankruptcy, a way to solve the financial issue of not being able to repay your medical bills, is an American reality. A survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) found that 41% of American adults currently have some sort of debt from an unpaid medical or dental bill. - Almost 30% of Black households have some sort of medical debt.
A report by the National Consumer Law Center has found that 27.9% of Black families have some sort of medical or dental debt. In comparison, among white families, only 17.2% have debt due to health care costs.

Lol, did you even try to comprehend what you sent?
First you tried bankruptcy and that didn't work, now you threw out a random survey showing 24% of people are in some sort of medical debt. I had a $50 medical bill years ago that I never knew about and it got thrown to collections. $50. That's it. That qualifies as "some sort of medical debt." I'm sorry, but the Bernie Sanders fear mongering healthcare crisis in the US is simply that, fear mongering. It's once again a grift for voted.
Lol, keep going, what else you got?
