Rutte: Ukraine's path to NATO is irreversible.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte reiterated that Ukraine's political commitment to future NATO membership remains unchanged, even if it's not explicitly mentioned in the final communiqué of the upcoming summit in The Hague.
"Ukraine's irreversible path to NATO is there, and I expect it to remain so even after the summit,"
Rutte said at Chatham House in London, as reported by Sky News and others.

In Russia, one of the few remaining opposition politicians has been arrested. Lev Shlosberg is accused of calling for a ceasefire in Ukraine in a video debate earlier this year, according to his liberal Yabloko party. The former MP in the western Russian city of Pskov and longtime critic of President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. The 61-year-old is accused of
"repeatedly discrediting"

Russia bombards Kharkiv with Drone Attacks: At least two dead +++
At least two people were killed in a massive Russian drone attack on Kharkiv overnight. The mayor of the eastern Ukrainian city, Ihor Terekhov, announced this on Telegram. At least 37 people were injured,
including five children
. In 17 attacks, the drones hit several
private homes
, Terekhov said. More than 15 apartments in a five-story building were on fire, and at another address, people may have been buried under rubble.

54 injured in attack on Kharkiv +++
Following the devastating Russian drone attacks on Kharkiv last night, the number of victims is rising: 54 people were injured, reports Mayor Terekhov. Among them were
eight children
. Two people died in the attacks. According to Terekhov, the drones struck residential areas,
hitting not only residential buildings but also shops, playgrounds

Ukraine reports One Million Russian Soldiers eliminated
Around the turn of the year, the Ukrainian army (under enormous pressure) sometimes reported over 2,000 Russian soldiers killed daily. Now, the figure is usually around half of that.
The total since the start of the war now exceeded the million mark.
Russian invaders carry a stretcher with a dead soldier in the occupied Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported 1,140 soldiers killed in its daily update on the estimated losses of the Russian side. This brings the number to just over one million since the start in February 2022 of the Russian war of aggression.
"1,000,000 occupiers eliminated. It's not a number that matters, but a symbol, a proof of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit,"

The daily figures reported by Ukraine include dead and wounded soldiers. Just as the reported losses of eliminated tanks and other vehicles likely include irretrievably destroyed or damaged military equipment.
The figures from Kyiv cannot be independently verified, but info from Western partners repeatedly come close to them. At the beginning of May, British intelligence estimated that there were
probably
950,000 Russian fighters killed or wounded — exactly the figure Ukraine reported at the time.
