omg poor Leighton!!!
She doesn't deserve that!! That's sad her mother is like that, because there have been many times in the past where Leighton seems to admire her mother and say how strong she is!
Poor Leighton, and her brother to!! She works really hard! -

you would think her mom would wish her well for her success not use her for money, espically if she was doing the right thing by helping to support her brother.
For a mother to pretty much try to blackmail $10,000 a month or $3 million outright is heartbreaking. And to quote Leighton about her parents: [on her parents' criminal past] It made me realize that you can't judge anyone-especially your parents-for what they've done in their past, because people change.That REALLY makes me think she trusted her mother to do the right thing. I feel awful for her that it has come to this! Poor Leighton and Lex, I hope she wins -

You can bet your bottom dollar that Leighton would be taking care of her brother 24/7 if she weren't a successful actress. That's just how she comes off to me.
This is so sad. The mom should get a job, seeing as how it's HER son and HER responsibility, and leave him with family to take care of him or something during her shifts. -

I wonder if all this is true, I think it is, but Leighton is such a private person,I read somewhere her Mom said that Leighton attacked her with a bottle and that is why she tried to counter sue her for 3 million dollars, I can't imagine Leighton attacking someone though.
Its horrible to think someone would use their sons health care money like that as well.

This is the woman who gave birth to Leighton while in PRISON!!!!!!
Leighton is beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, you can bet shed be taking care of her little bro if she wasnt a successful actress or if she wasnt as busy shed take him from her mom.
If Leighton hit her with a bottle, you can bet she deserved it. -

Very true but in some cases, such as this, a court can deem an adult unable to take care of themselves due to health issues, in which case he would have to have a legal guardian or care taker of sorts. If that is the case, and I'm not saying it is, they would have to look at Leighton's ability to take care of him in order to deem her the title of care taker or what have you, and with the fact that she is an actress and is probably gone more than she is home, it would take a lot for the courts to look past that and give her custody rights. This is just a possibility though.
