Again, I don't think they fcking realize what Singer had to do here and succeed at with this movie. He set up the fact that this universe has a bright happy future at the end of DOFP. I didn't think of the end of DOFP once while watching Apocalypse. In fact, I was so invested with what was going on in this film, it was hard to remember that Mystique saved Wolverine in the end of DOFP too. So, I had to put two and two together and realize that it's been 10 years since the events of DOFP and so much could've happened in that time.

If he had any foresight, this wouldn't have been a problem.

It's not a problem. The craftsmanship in Apocalypse and DOFP has just gone over your head like it went over the heads of those stupid critics.

It is a problem. It shows how outdated Singer is.

NO. The way they construct the MCU movies is basically old fashioned and therefore, ultimately uninteresting.

So you dislike Worldbuilding and remembering there's always something else going on. Check.

LMAO. That's the new and "great" filmmaking style?? World-building?? Audiences have to see a bunch of mediocre separate films to fully get to know the characters in The Avengers and that's a good thing?? You fanboys really sound like idiots sometimes.

                    Foresight like Disney has right?
That's why they hired the same actor to play two different roles in the same universe?
                    Excellent foresight

I think it's my favorite too. TDK is great but IMO it's not really a superhero movie so I have to give it to this one. It really has everything, and I find myself enjoying it more the more times I watch it. That's the sign of a good movie.
If you go into this film with a clear mindset, you will really enjoy yourself. If you are to obsessed with the rights and Disney you won't like it, and if you are too obsessed with getting source material perfect you won't like it. If you take it for what it is, a movie ADAPTATION, then this movie is amazing. It nails some of the characters and everyone, yes even Jennifer Lawrence, gave great performances.
The story is generic, but it's a comic book movie. ALL stories are generic. You can't sit there and knock the Apocalypse story and in the next sentence mention how (x CBM has a great story). It just makes you look stupid and biased. This movie had drama, action and comedy. And they blended it together better then any Disney (too family friendly) or DC(too dark and bleak) comic book movie.
Excellent movie, will see it again.

                            The Dark Knight
is excellent and I love that whole series of Batman movies, but you're right in saying that they're not really superhero movies so much as they are crime dramas. They just happen to have a detective that dresses up in a bat suit and kicks the ever loving beep out of people!
What I mean is there aren't any superpowers in those movies, so they're quite a different flavour than most films from that genre.
                            Seeing
                            The Dark Knight
for the first time was a mind-blowing experience, I actually shook hands with the guy sitting next to me after the movie! Like we'd been through something together haha, but I found that the movie didn't hold up quite as well in subsequent viewings. Still great, but it couldn't recapture that feeling the first time watching it, and some of the plot contrivances started sticking out like a sore thumb too. Not so with
                            X-Men Apocalypse
, at least so far it's been just as good each time I've seen it, and I'd love to catch it once more while it's still in theatres.

                              1. Xmen DOFP
                              2. Dark Knight Rises
                              3. The Avengers
                              4. X2
                              5. Spiderman 2
                              6. Batman Begins
                              7. The Dark Knight
                              8. Winter Soldier
                              9. XMEN APOCALYPSE
                              10. Iron Man
It wasn't the greatest story and underdeveloped the Villain but still more enjoyably than First Class and X3.

                                Big fan of
                                The Dark Knight Rises
eh? I loved that movie too, but I was the only one of the group I went with to really like it, everyone after the movie were complaining about this and that, I think they just failed to get into the spirit of the thing. Like Bane for instance, no one seemed to like him, which I don't get because I thought that Tom Hardy was fantastic! So intimidating and powerful, and like Apocalypse I found him to be quite funny as well, in a over-the-top way which didn't sacrifice the intimidation and suspense for laughs. Great characterization for Bruce Wayne in the movie too, I loved his character arc in it.

                                  Good list but here's mine:

                                  2. Spider-Man 2

                                  10. Batman
I just thought of another one but I don't know if it count. Would The Incredibles count?

I just pulled the DVD for that movie out of a storage space I have in another city, forgot that I owned it and really looking forward to watching it again! It's excellent, my favourite Pixar film.
I think you can count it as a superhero movie yeah, although it wasn't based on a previous comic book (Fantastic Four I suppose, very loosely).

I thought this movie was fantastic and can't wait to get the Blu-Ray
Me too, I'm going to hunt it down this weekend and try to pick up a copy of
                                        The Hateful Eight
                                        and
                                        Hail, Caesar!
with it. I can't wait! It's time for some new great stuff to add to my collection. I'm especially interested in the special features for
                                        X-Men Apocalypse
, I hope they go into detail about how they filmed the Quicksilver mansion sequence, it was an incredible cinematic feat.
I haven't added my top 10 superhero list, so here it is, mutable and subject to change!

                                        1. X-Men: Apocalypse
                                        2. X-Men: Days of Future Past
                                        3. Spider-Man 2 (still the most perfectly crafted superhero movie ever made, but not my personal favourite any more)
                                        4. The Dark Knight
                                        5. X2
                                        6. Batman Begins
                                        7. Superman: The Movie
                                        8. Spider-Man
                                        9. Batman '89
                                        10. X-Men First Class
