COULD Spider-Man work as a live action Netflix series???

because id honestly LOVE to see that done if there was a way they could do it and id like u see a college aged or grad school aged Peter Parker attending Empire State University and working part time as a photographer for the Daily Bugle for J. Jonah Jameson none of this tween high school Spider-Man like whats coming up and in the Andrew Garfield movies (he was 30 n looked way too old for high school anyway)
Id like it to be a fairly dark series, NO origin story, but dark in a different way than the Daredevil series with light hearted moments like Spider-Mans wisecracks n Jamesons humor but Norman Osborne/Green Goblin would b a super dark character n it would b great to see Michael C. Hall playing him cuz he could do a fantastic job playing the cold blooded business man side of Norman as well as the pure evil side when the Goblin takes over alot could b done with that
Now I know alotta people are gonna object to this by saying how Spider-Man isn't a dark character but im NOT suggesting making Spider-Man a dark character HIMSELF im suggesting making the series itself dark, making the story dark, having a dark atmosphere in the vein of Daredevil, making the VILLAINS dark, showing the darkness of the villains as you can portray on Netflix that they COULDNT portray in a mainstream PG-13 rated feature film.
There could b a great deal of ground to cover that they could explore from the comics that weren't in the movies, when u have only 2 hours to tell the story. Even a TRILOGY of Spider-Man movies can only cover 6 hours worth of material for a potential Netflix series, I would imagine 13 one hour episodes per season n preferably a 6 or 7 season run which would make the series either 78 or 91 episodes n with 78 or 91 hours worth of material, there's SO many stories they could cover from the comics
n they could have Vincent D'nofrio crossover as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk and we could actually see Spider-Man and Kingpin face off in live action.
n with the darkness of the series, they could do Venom FAITHFULLY for once not the goofy wisecracking Eddie Brock Topher Grace played in Spidey 3, but the dark, tortured Eddie Brock from the comics, who battles alotta personal demons portrayed by an older, muscular actor who can act (Christian Kane comes to mind) n when i say do Venom faithfully, i don't mean go thru the trouble of doing the whole secret wars storyline with the black suit, etc I mean Eddie Brock could have a multi episode arc BEFORE he becomes Venom, where they do the Sin Eater serial killer story arc from the comics, all that stuff with Jean DeWolff (the female detective investigating the case) Eddie becoming a disgraced reporter thru no fault of his own, finding out he has cancer, down on his luck, fully hitting rock bottom before he finally gets the Venom suit and with the fact that u can get away with anything on Netflix, they can fully explore the violence and gore Venom is capable of
Carnage is ANOTHER character they can fully do justice too because Cletus Cassidy was already an evil serial killer BEFORE he became Carnage, all that violence, blood, darkness n gore could totally be done on Netflix. I don't think they could FAITHFULLY do Carnage full justice in a PG-13 rated Spider-Man movie n they could show Cletus's full backstory n story arc before Carnage. Actors like Matthew Lillard or Zack Ward BOTH come to mind for Carnage since they both resemble Cletus in the comics. Alotta people have suggested Aaron Paul and i think he WOULD b good but Zack or Matthew would b much better n youd HAVE to do a dark Spider-Man series to have Carnage on it n a dark Spider-Man series would also allow them to do Mysterio justice too, with all his illusions n hallucinations n trickery, he could REALLY mess with Spider-Mans mind n psychologically torture him
And when they introduce Black Cat/Felicia Hardy, they could tell alotta the dark elements of Felicia's backstory too, like getting raped in college n given what a wild bad girl Felicia is, they could actually show her and Peter getting a little down and dirty when they hook up Blake Lively or Yvonne Strahovski could play Back Cat well a dark story would also be a good opportunity to do Hobgoblin well and ALSO show the violence behind Green Goblin (Norman, not Harry's version) throwing Gwen Stacy off the Brooklyn Bridge and they could explore Harry's downward spiral and his drug addiction in a dark story.
And since I mentioned Peter Parker should be college or grad school aged, I prefer they cast an actor between the ages of 24 and 27 to play him Tom Holland is 19 or 20, but he LOOKS about 11 or 12 14 at the most I'm still gonna give his movie a chance, but I have a hard time taking a tween Spider-Man seriously. I'm having too much trouble getting behind this, as much as I love Spider-Man as a character and like I said, Peter Parker, NOT Miles Morales n I wanna see an OLDER Aunt May like the comics trying to make her young, pretty and hip just takes away the -

I never said I speak for all Spidey fans
I'm gonna watch that animated Spider-Man movie with Miles Morales. I have nothing against Miles Morales. But Peter Parker is the only Spider-Man for me, the only one I acknowledge
Just like I only acknowledge Bruce Wayne as Batman. Not Thomas Wayne or Damien
Same with how Hal Jordan is the Green Lantern I grew up with I dont acknowledge Guy Gardner, John Stewart or Kyle Rayner. Hal all the way -

Superheroes in general are much better suited to television then they are to movies. Since comic books are basically soap operas with superpowers, it stands to reason that they should be presented in a medium that allows them to pull off grand stories over a longer periods of time. For as great as the MCU is, wouldn't it be nice if we could learn more about these characters and their rogues on a weekly basis rather than squeezing it all into a two hour runtime?
