The Guardian AND James Olsen are ruining this show.

Time travel is probably one of the most logistically difficult storytelling devices. Very difficult to get right. I don't disagree with any particular point, but you can add Outlander to your list of time-travel shows.
Outlander seems to conform to a "course-correction" time travel theory - wherein if something is changed. the universe will perform and course-correction to keep events basically on the same track.

Thank you, I thought I was the only one. He is a terrible actor, and even more terrible as a fighter. I don't know why they are forcing him on the show, as it is just throwing the flow off. Its starting to get annoying that Supergirl is getting punked every episode so other "heroes" can come in and help. They have severely downplayed her powers, Superman as well, and its become annoying. It feels like they are just sidekicks now.

Dude, this is not the supergirl from the comics you know.
Everything is different, not much, but enough to be significant.
Forcing anything to be just like the comics is just plain stupid at this point. Oh and btw, there was a Guardian in the comics, just so you know

Says this is not the Supergirl from the comics
Forgets that in Season 1 finale, she lifted an entire base known as Fort Roz which looked to be the size of three football stadiums out of the planet
LOL!

Yes I'm aware it's not the comics. But they are butchering the lore.
I'm also aware there's a Guardian in the comics, which is why I referred to it as "representation of The Guardian".
Either way, it was Jim Harper NOT Jimmy Olsen. -

I thought his fight scene with the giant monster was actually pretty good..
I thought so too. I really like him as Guardian as well. LOL, I'm probably the only one.

Does this board do anything other than whining about James/Jimmy?
Doesn't seem like it.
He could be the most disliked character on this show for most people anyway.

That was NOT 20 seconds! I actually don't have a problem with James (or with James/Kara), but wtf is this storyline? Why can't they write him doing things that the character would do? He's supposed to be the Lois Lane character. Kara is the Superman character.
I don't want to see Lois Lane as a supe and I don't want to see Jimmy Olsen as a vigilante. They're supposed to be the people who Kara/Clark protect and whom evil people try to kidnap/kill to get to them. If you give the love interest/BFF powers, then why does the super powered person need to exist? -

They think by doing this, it gives the show some 'balance'
Problem is they axed the whole romance angle so without that he was a useless alpha male so they decided to make him a hero to give him some sense of purpose even if it doesn't make any goddamn sense as he's now the head of catco..it's not like cat Grant wanted to be a superhero lol.
(she was the stern surrogate motherly figure in the show that would preach stuff though so now that she is gone, Olsen cant really fill that)
Also the reason why Mon-El is kinda of a jerk, weak, and even though he exhibits some alpha male tendencies, is demasculated in scenes when Kara is around
