The idea was a fundementally retarded idea in a film with fundementally horrid story structure

      Real constructive of a reply
      Actually not really.
How does it feel to be deconstructed?

yeah that would be spoon feeding to the nth degree. that was obviously the intent from how they portrayed it.

I can't believe they left this scene in the film. It is so bad. I mean really bad. If that is DC's writing and film making thought process then no wonder all their films are below par.

There are so many plot-holes in this cinematic colon spew. Wider than Darkseid's butthole.
Batman ignores 18 months of news reports on Superman saving people and Clark is 35 but apparently never heard of a guy with a gigundo Bat Signal who beats on day glo criminals for 20 freaking years.

Superman could have just said "Please save my mother". Or "Luthor is going to kill my mother". That would have made so much more sense.

That seems to over dramatic and on the nose. I know Snyder has a problem with not holding the hands of his audience, but what you described is too much hand holding.

Rewrite the entire scene and come up with a better reason for them to team up. Or just scrap the script and start over.

definitely something along those lines would have been better.
Zack Snyder has such good ideas, but then turns them into rubbish.
