Eh ? In recent canon, only time WW fought Supes, was in infinite crisis era, while he was being controlled by Maxwell Lord.

They do not mean it in terms of strenght but more of cultural relevance and impact but yes that is stupid, people with no tv's living at the edge of the world know who Superman is. Go to any average guy walking down the street and ask to name three Superheroes your most probable answer will be Superman Batman Spiderman (order may differ).
Most people have never heard of WW. This does not make her a bad character, there are plenty less known great ones but really number one in cultural relevance? -

Where?
I am listing a proof from personal experience that no matter where you go people know who Superman is, so it stands to reason that most people know Superman, while at the same time people outside of our high-tech bubble did not heard about WW. -

"No matter where you go" based entirely on visiting a tiny hamlet in Russia.
I personally have never met anyone who doesn't know the character. But as evidence, I work with people in Europe, especially France and as conversation, I often talk about the movie. People there generally know the character.

I think it is far better proof than let's sayFrance which shared plenty of cultural trends with USA. They have internet access, tv's and are as much a part of pop culture as any city in USA -

And personally, my perception (that is that there is here) is that no, WW's symbol isn't as recognized, but her symbol has changed over the years to a greater extent than Superman's.
Furthermore, don't forget that this started with your claim that "most people don't know Wonder Woman," which absolute BS.
