I can count on both hands already just from s1 how many times they ripped of copied and stole beep from Smallville..
RED kryptonite episode RIPPED of from Smallville..episode in season 2..
Livewire ripped of from Smallville episodes..
kara going to fortress of solitude in supergirl.. ripped of from Smallville kara going to fortress of solitude.
Supergirl villain of the week about fighting created meta beings..or super beings or created RIPPED of from Smallville.. that was the entire structure of smallville..
Large number of imprisoned Kryptonians, escape from phantom zone and come to earth bases of supergirl s1s story.. RIPPED of from smallville! There's more and more and more An they already ripped hit off form Smallville in s2 BY INTROUCING.lena luthor.. whos actual name is, lutessa lena luthor as her name was on Smallville.. but she went by tessas on the show.. AND wait by introducing lena on supergirl.. and making lena and kara friends in season 2 who will turn into enemies.they have copied the entire *beep* basis of smallville BY copying the relationship between clark and lex on smaville who becomes friends lex suspects *beep* ruins there friendship.. by digging into clarks life. and suspecting hes more then eh seems.. becomes obdessed with him and the turn into enemies and lex turns into the villian.. And they have already started to copy that exact relationship.. with kara and lena in supergirl and it will play out exactly the same as lex and clark in smaville Do the writers of this show.. just watch Smallville to come up with everything or what.. "oh i like that episodes" "lets copy that"" "oh i liek this plot structure let copy that" oh i like this, lets sopy that". Ill come back and update this later.. when more of s2 is out.. and see what else they have copied from Smallville, if kara ends up leading central city.. or ends up going somewhere at the end of season 2.. im gonna beep on the world! -

It's so weird.
It's almost like Supergirl and Smallville are based on the same DC comics! There's a Superman in Smallville and a Superman in Supergirl? Seems lke a pretty interesting coincidence.

Correction there's a the best Superman without a suit, since Christopher Reeves in smallville. And then there's a Superboy in Supergirl in cosplay mode. And it's still a ripoff but then again, that's what to expected with these new cw TV shows with no creativity, or personality.

It isn't a rip-off. If you want to talk rip-offs, then Smallville ripped off Lois & Clark (red kryptonite in several episodes)which ripped off the Richard Donner movies (or specifically Superman III, if we're talking red k), which ripped off the 1950s TV series which ripped off the comic books.
You guys are being ridiculous. -

63 years of comic before that, "bro." Your point of 10 seasons is irrelevant. Smallville's creators only created Chloe Sullivan. They didn't invent kryptonite of any color (as I've said previously red kryptonite and even manufactured kryptonite was in Lois and Clark in the 1990s), Brainiac, Bizarro, or anything else that came from the comics.
So they had Clark be buddies with Lex Luthor and later, Tess. Having Kara possibly becoming friends with Lena isn't really "ripping off" Smallville. -

Yep, because Smallville OBVIOUSLY came before Lois & Clark AND all four Christopher Reeve Superman films, AND the comics. Smallville didn't copy anything, right? Everything on Smalllville was an original idea, not based on any other pre-existing Superman material?
Don't make me laugh!!

The OP had me laughing the minute they claimed that Livewire was ripped from Smallville. The character actually dates as far back as 1996's Superman animated series, as she was originally created for that before being introduced into the regular DC Comics Universe a decade later.
Much like in the Supergirl TV series, the DC Animated Universe's version of Leslie Willis - voiced by Lori Petty in STAS and Maria Bererra in Justice League Unlimited - was a shock jock who took particular joy in giving derogatory rants about Superman (as such, Lex Luthor enjoyed listening to her). That's about where the similarities end, however.
She hosted a rock concert in celebration of her radio show's third anniversary, and insisted the show would go on, ignoring her producer's warning about the weather conditions.
Shortly after Superman and the authorities show up to break up the concert, Leslie turns her supporters on them and revels in her moment of glory as lightning starts to strike the stage. Superman moves Leslie to safety as a bolt travels through the rafters towards her, but as she is fleeing the scene, the lightning passes through Superman and hits her. The resultant shock knocks her unconscious and leads her to discover her new appearance and powers once she wakes up.
Here's a link to the full episode, for those interested.
