The past few days, I've been thinking of beautiful Sharon Tate, who had her life and that of her baby taken away from her in the month of August 50 years ago.
Tomorrow, August 5th, is the anniversary of the death of another beautiful blond. A true movie legend.

Also great Margo, it's a shame she wasn't in The Apartment with Jack Lemon - I think that would have been an even greater hit with her in it
She was too famous by then though and so I can see why she wasn't. Shame though, another great movie from that era.

That's right! She was considered for the role that Shirley McClain had, wasn't she? I seem to remember hearing that.

She was considered but turned it down immediately, I think Shirley did a brilliant job but that old Some Like It Hot magic would have worked very well I reckon.
Both awesome movies and excellent actresses of the time, but a boy can dream can't he?

Side note… I was told for years that I resemble her. I suppose did when I was younger. You had to squint.
