Jack is such a fantastic actor and always a treat to watch. He's a great favourite of mine. In which five films do you think he gives his best performances? For me it's the following.

The Crossing Guard
As Good as It Gets
The Shining
Go to bed Frank or this is going to get ugly

That's six.. Tough to pick just five. I loved him in Carnal Knowledge and the Wtches of Eastwick as well. -

I came on because I finally after all these years watched Five Easy Pieces on TCM. I really never knew much about it or had any interest to watch. As I watched the first 20-25 minutes I was so bored but nothing else was on so I thought ride it out. Well, by the end it was one of the best movies I've ever seen not to mention Jack's wonderful acting. I'm so glad I finished it. By the end, it dawned on me this is my Father. My Dad is similar to both Jack and the role he played here. Both my Dad & Jack and had a similar upbringings. He never knew his real parents and to this day is still a hippy or free spirit much like Jack. Like the character Robert Dupea, my Dad took off on me & my Mom and I had no contact with him for 35 years until I searched & found him. That said, I include this role as one of Jack's 5 best.
