It's my favorite performance of his. He's great in that movie. It's one of my favorites, and the book by George Orwell is also one of my favorites.

Michael Radford's
1984
is one of the few films I've seen that does justice to the literary work that it's based on.
John Hurt was perfect as Winston Smith, and Richard Burton gave one of his best performances in what was to be his last film role.
