What's the closest he's come to 'mainstream?'

My personal opinion would be Dead Man, but some audiences would be turned off that because it's in b&w, so possibly the one with the largest potential audience would be Ghost Dog.

Actually, filmmagnet, IMO putting the words "mainstream" and "Jarmusch" together is an oxymoron. They don't belong in the same sentence, but if you stretch Ghost Dog wide enough, I suppose you could call it "psychedelic mainstream." Don't you agree, BTW, that Dead Man was much better in black 'n' white than it would have been in color?

I remember a lot of talk in magazines like Variety & Hollywood Reporter back in the day when he cast Winona Ryder in Night On Earth. They kept calling that his attempt at going mainstream.
