What is his best performance outside Dr Loomis?

Why come on to a thread which is intended to praise his performances and say you don't like him?
Go and chat on threads of actors you do like.
I missed his character in the Halloween movies that he was not in. The sequels sucked so bad, he was the only person cast that made them watchable.
The original halloween was and always will be a classic.
Although, in the lead-in to H20, I love the fact that they use him talking at the start.
Great actor. Truly underrated. Can't really say what my fave film is. -

Pleasence does238 a very funny send-up of his Dr. Loomis character as a wacky pot-smoking hippie shrink who runs an experimental sanitarium in "Alone in the Dark." "Raw Meat" is another truly fine turn by the always delightful Donald; he's hilarious in the bar scene where he gets loud and boisterous after downing one too many drinks. And his creepy portrayal of an odious graverobber in "The Flesh and the Fiends" is quite terrific as well.

A GREAT actor (Great Escape, Cul-De-Sac, Will Penny).yet, didn't like many of his contemporaries. I remember watching a UK chat show in the late 80's, when he said that the only actor he ever 'got on' with was "Jimmy Garner" when he made 'The Great Escape'. A difficult man to know, but yes, a wonderful actor.
